Fairfield, CT - On Saturday September 23rd, the Sacred Heart University cheerleaders particpated in the American Liver Foundation's Football Walk for Liver Wellness. In addition to supporting the community, the squad went to show their support for Alison Cubbellotti, a fellow SHU student who has been faced with a liver disease.

The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of the prevalence of liver disease and reach out to people with liver disease. The proceeds from the event went to help raise funds for critically needed liver disease research and education. The program was also designed to educate the public about the liver and its importance and promote liver wellness.
