Pioneer Football Ready to Open 2008 Under the Lights

The lights are ready to come up on the 2008 Sacred Heart football season come August 30th with the Pioneers hosting Assumption College, quite literally in fact. When SHU kicks-off against the Greyhounds on the newly renovated Campus Field in late August they will do so under newly installed permanent lights that will usher in a new era for Sacred Heart athletics. 5/8/2008 - FootballNortheast Conference Football Gains Championship Access Through Bracket ExpansionAs a result of the NCAA Board of Directors' approval of a new budget that allows for the expansion of the Division I Football Championship Subdivision post-season bracket, the Northeast Conference will gain automatic access into the Division I Football Championship beginning in 2010.
